How do I start services with Medicrew365?

The process begins with a comprehensive, no-obligation care consultation. One of our case managers will meet with you and your loved one to assess specific needs, discuss preferences, and create a personalized care plan. To schedule this, please contact our office or fill out the "Book a Consultation" form on our website.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to access your services?

In most cases, no. While we often work closely with physicians and receive referrals from hospitals or discharge planners, private clients can contact us directly. For certain skilled nursing services, like IV therapy or specific wound care, we will coordinate with your medical team to ensure we operate under approved orders.

What are the costs of your services, and do you accept medical aid?

Costs vary depending on the level of care required (e.g., basic personal care vs. skilled nursing) and the duration of service. Medicrew365 is a private-pay provider; however, we can provide detailed invoices that you may submit to your medical aid or insurance provider for reimbursement, depending on your plan’s coverage for home care. We are happy to discuss payment options during your initial consultation.

What is the difference between Full-Time Care and Respite Care?

Full-Time Care (24/7 Care) is for individuals who require continuous, around-the-clock supervision and support to live safely at home. It involves rotating caregivers to provide unbroken coverage. Respite Care is temporary relief for primary caregivers (family members). It allows you to take a much-needed break, handle other responsibilities, or simply rest, knowing your loved one is in professional hands for a short, scheduled period.

How does Post-Operative Care differ from standard home care?

Post-Operative Care is highly specialized and short-term, focused specifically on the critical recovery period following a surgical procedure. While it includes general care, its primary goals are sterile wound management, pain monitoring, DVT (blood clot) prevention, and mobility assistance to accelerate healing and prevent hospital readmissions. We follow strict post-surgical protocols defined by your surgeon.

What is Palliative Care, and is it only for end-of-life?

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious, chronic, or life-limiting illness. It is not exclusively for end-of-life care. It can be provided at any stage of an illness alongside curative treatment. Our goal is to improve quality of life by providing relief from symptoms, pain, and the stress of illness, while offering emotional and spiritual support to the entire family.

Can you handle complex clinical needs like Dementia Support or Medication Management?

Our Dementia Support focuses on creating a safe, structured environment and engaging in cognitive stimulation to reduce confusion and anxiety. For medication management, our nurses oversee complex regimens, administer medications via various routes (oral, injections), and monitor for side effects to ensure absolute safety.

Can I rent medical equipment, or is it only for purchase?

We offer both short term rentals and direct purchases on most items.
